Rock Creek Fishing Report – 7/8

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/14

Rock Creek has been dropping steadily, and is now below 600cfs, perfect for wade fishing. Golden stones, caddis, and green drakes are the ticket now, as the salmonflies have tapered off considerably. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes and para wulffs.  For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.  Streamers have been working well too with big dark bodied junk working best.
