Rock Creek Fishing Report – 8/24

L-LS-2

With the weather on tap, be prepared for a little rain today. Otherwise, be prepared for some pretty decent dry fly action today. You should see some pretty good numbers of mayflies coming off if the weather will permit. Using a dry/dropper rig or a streamer would be good starter until you see fish chowing on top. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use green lightning bugs, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, skipper stones and batman nymphs.

HATCHES: spruce moths, nocturnal stones, PMDs, yellow sallies, caddis
