Rock Creek Fishing Report – 8/28

L-DSC_0745

Rock Creek is back on the drop. Some of the best streamer fishing on Rock Creek starts right about now. Toss that in with some really good late-summer dry fly action, and there’s really no reason to not be out here. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Decibully, World Travels Fast

Great band from Polyvinyl Records’ old lineup. Find their music for purchase on the Polyvinyl website: www.polyvinylrecords.com

HATCHES: hoppers, nocturnal stones, PMDs, yellow sallies, caddis

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, carnage stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
