Rock Creek Fishing Report – 9/24

L-DSCN00011

We’re looking at awesome weather for the next week. It should be the start of good fall fishing on Rock Creek with the nights getting cooler now. We’ve heard reports of some bigger brown trout swimming through, so head that way and tie on something ugly. For dry flies, use mahoganies, chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.

HATCHES: hoppers, BWOs, PMDS, Caddis, ants
