Rock Creek Fishing Report – 9/25

L-dad-6

The reports call for rain this weekend. As mentioned in the other hatch reports, BWOs should be the ticket. The colder weather might put the fish down a little bit, just as a heads-up. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Blueprint, 1988

My first rap show ever was on the tour for this album in Austin, TX at the legendary Emo’s (R.I.P.). Blueprint is the hardest-working MC in the business, underground or otherwise. Find this classic on iTunes.

HATCHES: hoppers, PMDs, BWOs, caddis, hecubas

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
