Rock Creek Fishing Report – 9/9

Rock Creek Fishing Report - 3/21

The skinny on Rock Creek is the dropping water levels. It’s now under 300cfs, and will continue to drop until we get significant rain. At this point in the year, dropping water levels aren’t too much to worry about, and it shouldn’t impact the fishing that has been quite good out here recently. For dry flies, use chubby Chernobyls, stimulators, PMDs, BWOs, bullet head stones, half downs, parachute adams, purple hazes, elk hair caddis, and para wulffs. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.
