Rock Creek Report – 10/19

The streamer fishing is day to day and section to section on the creek these days, but if you hit it right, there are some good fish to be had.  The dryfly action has been decent but not red hot by any means and has been quite a bit better on the upper 1/3 of the river recently. The best window for top water action has been getting smaller and smaller and is now lasting from about 2 to 4.  You can hook up pretty consistently subsurface on a variety of nymphs including copper Johns, San Juans and other standard fare, but you’ll touch a bunch of whities!

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES:  mahoganies, baetis, caddis

OTHER INFO: The Kingfisher is Missoula’s oldest flyshop under continual ownership.
