Rock Creek Report – 5/17

REPORT:

OH YEAH!!!  If you know how to row, the creek will treat you VERY well right now.  It’s dropping hard and the fish are on yellow streamers HUGE!  There are lots of salmonflies on the lower Clark at this point and it’s minutes away from happening on the creek as well.  Big dries tight to the banks will probably tag you some fish even if you’re not seeing naturals, but we KNOW the yellow junk is money right now.  Better be able to row . . . .   Dangerous biz if you can’t.  **Come check out our closeout specials on select fly lines (in all weights) and reels.  Stop in while the selection is still good!!*

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

Girdle bugs (Rock Creek and Smith River KILLERS)  are $1.95 every day – every week except on Fridays when you can get up to 12 of ’em for 1/2 that!DSCN1743

FLIES: A variety of caddis patterns in about a #12, comparaduns and cripples in 14s, March brown emergers, double beads, Brooke’s stones and big princes right off the bottom. Buggers both brown and black.
