REPORT:

It’s on Leon!!!  The first of the big bugs have been spotted on the lower creek and while there haven’t been a ton of ’em, the fact we’re seeing ANY meas the fish have been seeing more.  The cooler weather on tap the next few days won’t do much to get the salmonflies in the air, but the streamers and even salmonfly dries TIGHT to the banks should do good things for you – even in the absence of flying naturals.  Cooler night temperatures means more dropping water, if the rain isn’t too bad, in the short term and that can only help if your fishing from shore.  It’s ideal floating conditions up on the creek right now, but you’d better be able to row . . . .   Dangerous biz if you can’t.  Rock Creek and the Bitterroot are, by FAR, the 2 most dangerous rivers to float in the Missoula area.   **Come check out our closeout specials on select fly lines (in all weights) and reels.  Stop in while the selection is still good!!*
