Rock Creek Report – 5/30

REPORT:

Rock Creek is back on the drop this morning and fishing well, particularly from a boat.  Flows are at 1140 this morning which is a bit high for wading in general although at this level, you can find lots of places where you can wade.  The upper river coming in through Pburg will be easier from the banks than will the lower river.  Salmonflies are all over the place on the lower creek but we’re seeing bugs here and there all up and down the length.  Fish are on ’em in a big way and keeping casts tight to the bank is key.  A variety of bigger bugs are working such as Rogue goldens, tarantulas, a variety of salmonflies and even drakes in some areas.  More clouds and rain on tap for today which shouldn’t hurt your fishing a bit.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

The salmonfly hatch is intensifying and the fish are now readily looking for them.  If you are, too, we’ve got ’em!IMG_1815[1]

FLIES: Salmonfly dries of all kinds, yellow or white bunnies/streamers. Brooke’s stones and big princes right off the bottom.
