Rock Creek report – 5/8

REPORT:

The river’s up to sketchy wading levels and the fishing will shut of hard as it continues to rise.  Take heart, more water means ideal floating conditions right on the edge of salmonfly madness.  Give it a few days to settle into its groove and it’ll be game on.  Not so much today – or tomorrow . . . .

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

Girdle bugs (Rock Creek and Smith River KILLERS)  are $1.95 every day – every week except on Fridays when you can get up to 12 of ’em for 1/2 that!DSCN1743

FLIES: A variety of caddis patterns in about a #12, comparaduns and cripples in 14s, March brown emergers, double beads, Brooke’s stones and big princes right off the bottom. Buggers both brown and black.
