Rock Creek Report – 6/11

DSCN0367REPORT:

The creek is on the drop this morning like all the local rivers.  Fishing remains very good up here and with a flow of 780, there are actually some decent wade fishing opportunities, particularly on the upper 1/2 of the river.  Salmonlfies are still a good bet pretty much creek wide although golden stones and bigger mayfly dries have begun to get consistent attention.  Nymphs and streamers are also working well but hard for most people to put on with dries working as well as they are.  The significantly warmer days have the caddis popping, too, and they can provide some very good evening action after the big bug frenzy of the day has ended.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: Salmonfly dries of all kinds, golden stones patterns from giant to yellow sallie varieties, green drakes, caddis

OTHER INFO: You did know, didn’t you, that The Kingfisher is the largest dealer of Simms fishing products in THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS didn’t you?
