Rock Creek Report – 6/15

S-11REPORT:

There was about a 20 cfs bump in flows at the lower end of the creek yesterday that will mean absolutely nothing in terms of your fishing today.  It’s going to be silly good up here again.  Fish on the lower river are concentrating more on smaller flies (compared to big stoneflies) like para adams in a 12, caddis and yellow sallie stones.  The mid and upper river fish are still mackin’ the big orange bugs but also willing to move for giant goldens and green drakes.  There is good wading to be had on the upper river and on the side channels top to bottom.  While the river’s flowing less than 1/2 of what it was on this day last year, there’s still plenty of volume to pack your lunch in a hurry of you are indecisive on the oars.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: Salmonfly dries of all kinds, golden stones patterns from giant to yellow sallie varieties, green drakes, caddis
