Rock Creek Report – 7/13

DSCN4624REPORT:

Everything from PMDs to caddis to hoppers will have the fish looking up.  The nymphing is very solid too but by and large, unnecessary since good topwater action begins about 10:00 a.m.  The best fishing has decidedly moved to the upper 1/2 of the river this past week but there are good options here and there on the lower river as well.  The water’s definitely low with a flow of 371 near Clinton this morning, but water temps remain reasonable and the fish are frisky and healthy.  Prospect during the day with a variety of bugs from hoppers to PMDs.  Red has been a particularly good color for attractor bodies.  In the evening, you’ll see good numbers of caddis and rusty spinners.  The fish will be looking for ’em too.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: PMDs, caddis, hoppers, ants and even a few spruce moths

OTHER INFO: The Kingfisher, locally owned, financed and operated for over 18 years.
