Rock Creek Report – 7/29

DSCN4064REPORT:

The last couple of days, the creek has been topping out with a water temp of 68.  A few days before that, though, the water was hitting 70 on the lower end. Things should continue to improve as the daytime highs get back into the normal and below normal range this week. The best fishing these days continues to be on the upper 1/2 of the river, but there are good options here and there on the lower river as well. Spruce moths and red bodied attractors like humpies and PMXs have been the best dries for us recently although a 14 purple haze hasn’t been bad either.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: PMDs, caddis, hoppers, ants and spruce moths

OTHER INFO: The Kingfisher is Missoula’s oldest flyshop under continual ownership.
