Rock Creek Report – 8/12

L-15REPORT:

The smokey haze from the fires has been creating a cloud coveresque sort of deal out there the past couple of days and it’s making for some very good fishing.  The fish have been much more consistent on the surface and the bigger fish seem to be on the move too.  Still an attractor/terrestrial deal up here although standard mayfly and caddis patterns will take fish for you as well.  A red bodied humpy or royal Wulff in a 14 is tough to beat.  Hanging droppers about 15″ below your dries will get you some extra fish too and we’ve been liking an olive p-tail or green copper John for that.  Look for conditions to be about the same as yesterday on the creek today.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

FLIES: PMDs, caddis, hoppers, ants and spruce moths
