With runoff starting to begin we start looking for other fishing/floating options. Recently one of our employees floated the West Fork of the Bitteroot with a couple of local guides. What they found were a handful of downed trees and heavy hydraulics. Most of the obstructions were still float-able because the guys were well prepared and scouted the obstructions properly. One obstruction required a short portage and was described as a for sure “No Go”. A tree recently fell and combined with a prior log jam and closed the channel off.  Here are a couple map shots of the obstruction.
